Happy Friday everyone! Are you excited for the weekend? I most definitely am! This morning I was in a hurry to get ready, so I threw on my favorite oxford. Wearing a button up when I don’t feel my best (or feel like doing my hair) always makes me feel more put together. What’s your trick for feeling more put together?

Brock and I were going to head out LR this weekend but I think we are going to take it easy and chill at home. I have lots of projects I need to start working on anyway- I’ve had our nightstand drawers painted and unfinished for the past 2.5 weeks….yikes!

With July coming to a close I’m really excited for fall to slowly get here. Fayetteville is so pretty in the fall. If you’ve never seen the Ozarks when the leaves change, oh man! You really need to. The students start coming back for the semester and then football starts up. You can just feel the electricity in the air (and smell the pumpkin bread cooking in the kitchen). Living in a college town can be kind of annoying sometimes, but I also like the energy and excitement that comes with it.

Tonight I think we will head out to Schulertown, our local food truck court. It has the best people watching and we can bring Basquiat with us! I have to run 9 miles (keep me in your thoughts, gah!) tomorrow morning so I’m kind of nervous about that. I’ll just have to drag my butt out of bed early and get it over with before it’s too hot! How have you been handling the summer heat where you live? Are you ready for fall?

  1. This is such a cute outfit! I also love wearing button ups when I don’t feel my best or am in a hurry because I feel that I look like I’ve but a lot of thought and effort into my outfit, even if I haven’t. Those booties are also very cool!
