This weekend I finally did it! I got my tattoo of my sweet little meatball of a cat, Desmond! I’ve been wanting this for a few years and this weekend my tattoo artist squeezed me in at 10AM and I just laid on my side for 2.5 hours….The last half hour was the worst, I don’t think I could ever go longer than that for a tattoo. Desmond is such a special little cat to me. Brock and I adopted him from a rescue group 4 years ago. When he was a kitten he had a terrible owner who broke his leg. Desmond had to drag the leg for the next few months until the rescue group raised the funds for his surgery. It breaks me heart every time I think of his rough beginning at life, but he really is the HAPPIEST cat in the history of the world, and he doesn’t let 3 legs get him down.

See that face? That face is trying to bait you in so he can sweet talk you into pouring him some dry food. My tattoo artist is named Joshua Henderson and he works at Supernova here in Fayetteville. They are a super clean and talented studio and I highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking to get work done!

For some reason when my husband took photos last night the lens got a little fogged up…so i’m bummed I don’t have many photos to share with you! I love this romper- it’s super comfortable and lightweight, and can be easily dressed up or down. My newest tattoo brings my total up to 4. I’m going to get a piece done for Basquiat, our pup at some point, but not anytime soon. If you had told me when I was in highschool that I would have tattoos, I would not have believed you.

Do any of you have tattoos? What’s the story behind them? I would love to hear it!

  1. Ahhh! I love it ❤ So beautiful and meaningful 🙂 and you're brave for going through that for 2.5 hours! I don't have any tattoos…yet. I've been so tempted to get one, but I just get scared last minute because I feel like it's such a commitment! and I will have to love it for the rest of my life, so it's definitely something I still have to think about.
