I missed my Monday post yesterday, so sorry everyone! Yesterday I finally graduated from my Dale Carnegie class! When I initally began the class I was very wary about it- I didn’t think I would learn much and it would be a waste of time. The class and the readings really made a huge impact on my life- I feel like I am a less stressed person and it has given me the tools to be a more confident leader and person. If anyone in your office mentions it or you feel like your office is severely lacking positive morale, enthusiasm, and good communication, you should check the class out!
This past weekend was mostly rainy, so I didn’t get to do as much as I wanted, but hopefully I can take on some projects this week. I’m the type of person that really has to write things down and check things off a list or they’ll NEVER get done. Are you any of list keepers?
This denim shirt is one of my all time faves- I bought this at Anthropologie a few seasons back but it’s super soft and comfy. Are you jealous of my super chic knee brace? I bet you are. I’m still having trouble with my knee and IT band. It’s mostly due to the fact that I never stretched as much as I should have, but I’ve incorporated some stretches since the weekend and I’m going to keep it up because….
I SIGNED UP FOR MY FIRST HALF MARATHON YESTERDAY! It kind of makes me want to throw up, but excitedly throw up…does that make any sense? Probably not. I have a ½ marathon training schedule that I really have to stick to and I’m hoping I can power through it. I’ve always wanted to run a ½, and I’m pretty sure I will cry when I cross that finish line. The race isn’t until October 4th (thank god) so I have plenty of time to train. With summer on the horizon I need to invest in some new running gear, so if you have any suggestions on where to shop for cute but functional running gear, let me know! I’m excited to check this goal off my bucket list. What are some of your goals this year?
